In addition to editing and contributing articles Tech Trends, Alice Bonasio is writing VRgins, a book about sex and relationships in the virtual age. She also regularly freelances for high-profile publications including Fast Company, QuartzPlayboy, Newsweek, Wired, The Next Web and more, with a particular interest on Virtual Reality technologies.

Alice’s academic research covers topics such as Gaming Culture, Online Marketing, Crowdfunding, and Feminism and she collaborated with a wide variety of prestigious institutions including Bournemouth University, The University of the West of England (UWE), The University of Warwick, Bath Spa University, The University of Wales, and University College London (UCL). This included assisting Professor James Newman – one of the world’s foremost authorities in Game Studies – with research for his book Playing with Videogames (Routledge, 2008).
