In addition to editing and writing for Tech Trends, Alice’s academic research and interests cover topics such as Gaming Culture, Online Marketing, Crowdfunding, and Feminism and she collaborated with a wide variety of prestigious institutions including Bournemouth University, The University of the West of England (UWE), The University of Warwick, Bath Spa University, The University of Wales, and University College London (UCL). This included assisting Professor James Newman – one of the world’s foremost authorities in Game Studies – with research for his book Playing with Videogames (Routledge, 2008). Her scholarly papers are available on academia.edu. She is currently writing VRGins, a book about how Artificial Intelligence and Immersive Technologies will blur the lines between the real and virtual worlds and fundamentally transform the way humans relate to one another.
