There is also a lot to be said for good old classic, minimalist design, and “less is more” often remains the golden rule with websites. You need to also be mindful of optimizing for mobile and keeping loading speeds to a minimum, specially given the fact that – according to Google – most people will quit a website if it takes longer than 3 seconds to load.
